It’s rough enough when your skin is super dry or super oily, but it can be even worse when your skin is the dreaded combination of the two. Combination skin types can have a hard time of it finding the right product that will address the multitude of skin issues, and a DIY mask that only addresses one issue won’t cut it. We’ve tried this simple, 2-ingredient DIY combination skin face mask using ingredients in your refrigerator:
1 cucumber, chopped finely, grated, or pulsed in a blender
1 egg white
In a bowl, whisk the egg white until frothy. Add your cucumber mixture into the bowl and stir into the egg white. Always, always, test on a small patch of your skin for a few minutes so you know you won’t react badly to the ingredients. If you find it doesn’t irritate your test patch of skin, apply an even layer to your face. The egg white will tighten the skin and cucumber refreshes and soothes your face. Keep the mask on for 15-20 minutes, then wash off well with water.
